The Model XV Assault Rifle is one of the Shanhe Kurun Green Banner's standard infantry weapons. An older but highly reliable and effective design that uses electronically-fired caseless kinetic rounds, it is widely used throughout the Six Banners and has been exported across the galaxy. The Model XV can be modified to be used as a grenade launcher, a DMR, or any number of other uses, and is effective in almost all situations, thus its popularity.
Like many Shan kinetic weapons, the Model XV is a gyrojet weapon, with its bullets actually having small rockets. With AI add-ons this gives Model XV bullets the capacity to maneuver slightly and also helps make the weapon lightweight and portable and limit recoil.
